The Team Behind Summit
Meet the people behind the sessions, the sound, and the studio
Ricardo Pequenino
Ricardo is a co-owner of Summit Sound Studios and a producer with a background in live performance, touring across Canada, and playing festival stages. He specializes in Pop, Metal, Folk, K-Pop, and singer-songwriter production. As a multi-instrumentalist and mastering engineer, Ricardo brings a hands-on, artist-focused approach to every project, helping guide songs from early ideas to the final master. His broad musical skill set and creative vision bring depth, versatility, and care to each production. When he is not in a session, he can usually be found scoring a film or reading a book in a comfy corner.

Curtis "Chef C" Shaw
Curtis Shaw is a mixing and recording engineer based in Vancouver and co-founder of Summit Sound Studios. He’s been running the studio for over seven years and has worked with hundreds of artists, contributing to hundreds of released tracks across hip-hop, pop, and R&B.
While mixing is his main focus, he’s also very hands-on during sessions, often helping with vocal coaching, arrangement ideas, and creative direction. His approach is simple: keep the original feeling of the song intact and avoid overproducing. The goal is always to bring out the best version of the artist’s sound.

Zane Andrew Heilig
Zane Andrew Heilig is a producer at Summit Sound Studios with over a decade of experience creating music across many different genres. He specializes in indie rock, alt-rock, rock, and indie pop, and is known for his grounded, artist-friendly approach in the studio. Originally from Mexico, Zane is also a member and executive producer of People You Know, a band that is steadily building momentum. His mix of versatility, taste, and collaborative energy helps artists bring their ideas into focus in a way that feels natural and authentic.

Mokka Brown
Moksh Amin’s story begins in India, but by age eight he had lived across several countries on six continents, shaping a broad cultural perspective that informs his ear as a producer. He began making music in high school, forming his band Uncommon Figures and later recording at Calgary’s Beach Studios, while also studying classical music and jazz. After studying composition at the University of Victoria, he immersed himself in analog recording and the DIY scene, contributing to sessions for bands like OKGB and Freak Heat Wave. Since then, he has worked with artists including Yvette, Beach Season, and Cartel Madras, and in Vancouver has built a name as a composer and producer through work like the score for Confessions of a Superhero and the debut album from post-punk outfit DOUR.
Sabrielle McCurdy Foreman
